About us:
After a lifetime in the computer business and a somewhat shorter time doing my family tree research, I decided it was time to combine the two.
What I was looking for was a way to produce charts that I could actually use and would help in my research. There are plenty of family tree programs available that allow you to produce a chart, but it was almost impossible to print them out without having to get out the sticky tape. And if you were to take your chart to a chart printing company it would probably be quite expensive to have it printed. What's more the features available in your software will limit what you can achieve.
It took me a couple of years of hard work using some of the latest web technology, and the final result is this web site. As far as I am aware it is the only fully interactive and highly customisable family tree charting program available on the web. I included lots of features - some of which are not available anywhere else - with more features still to come! If there is something you would like to see added, use the 'Contact us' form (available under the 'Info' menu) and I will add it to the list.
Although I designed it originally to import data from a gedcom file, I decided to add full editing capabilities. My aim was to make it as simple as possible to input your data, with a page where you can easily enter all the family details. In addition I added a quick edit feature, allowing you to change details directly on your chart. So you can use it to build your family tree without any other family tree software.
For printing out your charts a variety of paper types and sizes are available. A unique option is the availability of a custom sized roll paper for printing. It is 297mm wide, the height of an A4 page. So you can easily fold it and file it in an A4 or A3 binder if you wish. For larger charts 24 inch paper is available, including canvas and photo papers.
I hope you like it, and I look forward to printing your charts for you.
